What sets cosmetic acupuncture apart from other facials is the ability to target individual fine lines, wrinkles and muscle groups for targeted results that are difficult to duplicate with other treatment styles. By applying extremely fine needles along meridians in the face and body, we move Qi and blood throughout the system, increase facial tone, decrease puffiness, firm sagging skin, and enhance complexion, all while relaxing the parasympathetic nervous system. Our treatments take into consideration a person's constitution as a whole for radiant beauty and health inside and out. A full course of Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture consists of an initial consultation and 12 or more treatments administered once or twice weekly. It is highly recommended that time in between treatments not exceed 7 days. Maintenance treatments may be scheduled every 6 to 12 weeks, or as needed by the patient.

Our facial cosmetic acupuncture treatment which combines both local and distal needles, gua sha and facial cupping. Hair thin needles are applied to local areas on the face as well as on the body to minimize the signs of aging and to target specific imbalances on the face as well as deficiencies in the body that cause the body to age. This is a very targeted treatment which focuses on treating signs of aging from the inside out.

Similar to traditional body cupping, facial cupping focuses on lymphatic drainage and bringing more Blood and Qi circulation to the skin and muscles. In stimulating circulation in facial cells, we stimulate those responsible for collagen production, which can brighten the skin and minimize the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles! Facial cupping also can tone the chin, jawline and neck by decreasing puffiness. Unlike traditional body cupping, facial cupping  does not leave any marks on the face. They are smaller and made of glass with a hand pump attached. The cups themselves are not stationary like some traditional body cups. We use oils to glide the cups along the face to promote the lymphatic drainage and plump fine lines and wrinkles. You often will notice an immediate increase in tone and lift. Gua sha is a facial treatment that involves dragging a flat jade or rose quartz stone over the skin in very gentle upward strokes to relax stiff muscles and promote tissue drainage. It is used much less aggressively over facial curvatures than on the body to bring new blood to the surface and promote lymphatic drainage. Gua sha relaxes tension in facial muscles which can cause lines and can be seen as a kind of exercise for the face. With regular use, gua sha can tone skin and promote increased skin elasticity.
