Cosmetic Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
One of the things I love about cosmetic acupuncture is that we're never treating the face in isolation. Facial acupuncture is combined with body acupuncture, so the treatment remains rooted in the whole-person approach of Chinese medicine.
Depending on what we're working with, I may also incorporate facial cupping, Gua Sha, infrared, lymphatic work or facial massage.
A series of 10 to 12 treatments is common, usually once or twice weekly at the beginning. Maintenance is generally every 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes longer.
Mild redness or tenderness can occur, and occasional minor bruising or brief swelling is possible. We review your health history before treatment, particularly with blood thinners, bleeding disorders, active infection, acute illness or a recent facial procedure that is still healing.
